PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for demodulating for an OFDM capable of performing a positional regulation of a time window in a short processing time with high accuracy. SOLUTION: A window position error detector 9 comprises a pilot signal extractor 10 for extracting pilot signals SP(1),..., and SP(P) from a plurality of input frequency components z<SB>n</SB>,<SB>0</SB>, z<SB>n</SB>,<SB>1</SB>,..., and z<SB>n</SB>,N<SB>-1</SB>, complex conjugate units 12<SB>1</SB>, 12<SB>2</SB>,..., and 12P<SB>-1</SB>, for generating the complex conjugates of the pilot signals SP(2),..., and SP(P), multipliers 11<SB>1</SB>,..., and 11P<SB>-1</SB>for calculating the product SP(x).SP*(x+1) (wherein x=1 to P-1 of one of a set of adjacent pilot signals by the complex conjugate of the other, an adder 13 and an average processing unit 14 for calculating the mean value of the products, a phase component extractor 15 for extracting the phase differenceθof the mean value, and an error calculator 16 for calculating an error (deviated amount) k<SB>ε</SB>of the FFT window position from the phase differenceθ.
