PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which can decrease the occupancy area of the solid electrolytic capacitor on a circuit substrate and can decrease a load, when joining it to the circuit substrate. SOLUTION: In a solid electrolytic capacitor, a first solid electrolytic capacitor element 1 is joined to a first anode lead terminal 2 and a first cathode lead terminal 3, and second solid electrolytic capacitor elements 4a, 4b are joined to second anode lead terminals 5a, 5b and second cathode lead terminals 6a, 6b. Second solid electrolytic capacitor elements 4a, 4b are disposed above or below the first solid electrolytic capacitor element 1 so that the extending direction of the first anode lead terminal 2 and the extending direction of the first cathode lead terminal 3 are orthogonal to the extending directions of the second anode lead terminals 5a, 5b and to the extending directions of the second cathode lead terminals 6a, 6b. The anode lead terminals 2, 5a, 5b and the cathode lead terminals 3, 6a, 6b penetrate a side plane of an outer shell 7, and further, hung downward along the side plane and are bent along the lower plane of the shell 7.
