The invention relates to a rigid bearing device with a row of balls, comprising an external bush (11) with an external surface and a drilling on which is formed an inner toroidal roll path (14), an inner bush (15) provided with a drilling and an external cylindrical surface on which is formed an outer toroidal roll path (18), a row of balls (19) arranged between the two roll paths and a cage for maintenance of a regular circumferential spacing between the balls. The diameter of the balls is equal to the product of half the difference between the external diameter of the external bush and the diameter of the drilling of the inner bush with a coefficient in the range of 0.45 to 0.5 within limits.
