PURPOSE: A method for managing resources of a network equipment system is provided to free the longest unused memory region by retrieving a time update function of a memory, and to check life time of assigned resources, thereby preventing the system from being held owing to resource deficiency. CONSTITUTION: A system drives a resource management task(S500), and drives a task of a network equipment system(S501). If a new memory assignment request command is received from the task(S502), the system decides whether a memory has a margin(S503). If so, the system assigns the memory(S504). If the memory does not have the margin, the system checks a memory attribute flag(S505). If the memory attribute flag is instant(S506), the system frees the longest unused memory region(S507). The system assigns the freed memory region(S508).
