PURPOSE: A remote inspection device of a measuring instrument and a method for inspecting the same are provided to exactly inspect the amount of use of the measuring instrument by detecting the mechanical error included into the pulse signal generated at the measuring instrument. CONSTITUTION: A remote inspection device(201) of a measuring instrument includes an inspection block(311), a calculation block(321), a display block(331), a control block(341), a correction block(351) and a power block(361). In the remote inspection device(201), the inspection block(311) receives the pulse signal generated at the measuring instrument. The calculation block(321) stores the pulse signal received from the inspection block(311), determines the normal status of the pulse signal, sets the minimum time of the on/off duration time of the pulse signal, the sensing period of the pulse signal and the sensing number of the pulse signal, determines whether the pulse signal satisfies the on/off duration time of the set pulse signal, the sensing period and the number of the sensing and waits the other pulse signal if the pulse signal is not inverted. The display block(331) displays the amount of use of the measuring instrument from the calculation block(321). The control block(341) transmits the converted pulse signal received from the measuring instrument and transmits the information required for the calculation block(321) from the computer. And, the correction block(351) adjusts the set value of the measuring instrument set at the control block(341) in response to the signal transmitted to from the terminal.
