<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To faithfully reproduce sharpness processing being applied to a printed matter on a reduced image thereof, i.e., a display image. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of obtaining a confirmation display image of an image obtained by subjecting an input image signal (original image signal) CMY to sharpness processing by a mask size M, magnification of the mask size M is varied depending on the variation rate k of magnification of confirmation display image signals RGB 1 and RGB for the input image signal CMY, and an unsharp signal CMY(U) for a reduced input image signal CMY is determined from the mask size A of real number subjected to variation of magnification. A display image based on the confirmation display image signals RGB 1 subjected to sharpness processing based on the unsharp signal CMY attains an effect that the sharpness processing of mask size M for the original image signal, i.e., the three color input image signal CMY, can be reproduced faithfully. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
