<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a desired template from a number of templates through a simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: From images (composited images with clip arts inserted) of a number of templates stored in a CD-ROM, a desired image is selected according to an operation signal of a mouse 20 produced by the operator (S322). The composited image CP selected is read from the CD-ROM (S323). When the composited image CP selected is designated as a bookmark, template data Dtm, clip art data Dcl, and relating data PT about the composited image CP are written onto a hard disk (325).
