<p>Disclosed is a method of obtaining magnetic resonance data regarding a sample, the method comprising the steps of: a) placing the sample within a suitable high flux density magnetic field, which field is substantially homogeneous prior to introduction of the sample; and wherein the presence of the sample causes local inhomogeneities in the magnetic field; and b) causing to be present, adjacent to the sample, a passive shim comprising sufficient amount of a highly diamagnetic substance as to reduce the inhomogeneity in the magnetic field caused by the sample.</p> |
