<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retaining apparatus which retains an optical viewing device, for example, a microscope stably without any vibration and with (position) reproducibility, and specially improves a vibration state perpendicularly, increases the rigidity and strength of the whole structure by mechanical properties of the structure, and makes the structure as lightweight as possible on the whole. <P>SOLUTION: The retaining apparatus for the microscope on a stand has at least one retaining element which retains a plurality of stand elements mutually; and the retaining element (6) is so arranged as to tense and prescribe (a plurality of) carrier stand elements of a parallelogram type arm structure with excessive stress in an operation state and the retaining element (6) is constituted as a diagonal strut and provided obliquely in a carrier arm comprising four arms (5a to 5d) capable of mutually swiveling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
