<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a performance of a gold implement capable of accurately measuring a motion of an object even outdoor, by using a fluorescent optical marker which does not impart an influence to flying characteristics of the object, and to provide an apparatus for measuring the same having an excellent morphology. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring system measures the flying characteristics of at least one object moving in a predetermined visual field by using at least one fluorescent marker. Such a system comprises an illumination unit having an optical filter, and at least one camera unit having a camera filter. The illumination unit directs the light toward the object. When the optical filter is present, the light is filter-corrected before the light arrives at the object. The camera unit is directed toward the object, and the camera filter-prevents the entire wavelength except the wavelength of a predetermined range. A reflected light from the object is passed through the camera filter and transmitted to the camera. In one embodiment, the system has the camera filter which can be electrically switched between at least two colors.
