PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tubular film of a semiconductive wholly aromatic polyimide especially having a flexing resistance and a repeated withstand voltage test (stable electrical resistance after the repeated charging and destaticizing treatments). SOLUTION: The tubular film of a semiconductive wholly aromatic polyimide has a stress crack durability of≥4,000 times at a flexing angle of 135°and a surface resistivity change by the repeated application of voltage of≤1.0 digit. The effective process for the production of the film comprises the use of a precursor solution composed mainly of a precursor of the wholly aromatic polyimide, a conductive carbon black and a basic organic compound of pKb≥5 as a forming dope, the forming of the dope in a rotating metallic cylinder heated at 100-200°C and the heating of the formed product at 280-460°C. The film is usable e.g. as an intermediate image-transfer belt of a color copying machine. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
