摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a high-density optical fiber cable which is stable in groove size and spiral pitch for a long period. SOLUTION: A tensile strength wire is set on a rotary supplier 10 and given tension by a powder clutch 12, and supplied to an extruder 14 while rotated and twisted (in the same direction with twisting of a 2nd process). Then PC/ PBT resin is extruded in a fused state to the outer circumference of the tensile strength wire to cover the wire, cooled and solidified in a cooling tank 16, and wound by a take-up machine 20 (1st process) while a linear storage groove is sized with a sizing key 18. The obtained molding is introduced into a heat- treating furnace 22 and passed through the furnace 22 to heat and soften the PC/PBT resin and then the wire is supplied to a sizing device 26 through a rotation preventive guide 24 having a projection to be engaged with the groove. The device 26 sizes the groove while rotating in engagement with the spiral storage groove formed by twisting carried out by a rotary take-up machine 28 and in the device 26, the linear square storage groove is made spiral, fixed, and sized while cooled.
