<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch for increasing transmission torque capacity while preventing an increase in weight in a compact shape without enlarging an electromagnetic clutch. <P>SOLUTION: A projecting part 130a being an annular projection having a triangular cross section, and arranged on the circumference is arranged on a concentric circle on the contact surface 106a side of a rotor 106 on a plurality of respective friction surfaces 120a, 120b, 120c, and 120d composed of an armature plate 110 and a contact surface 106a of the rotor 106 for contacting by forming a magnetic pole when exciting a coil 104 of the electromagnetic clutch 102. While, a recessed part 130b being an annular recess having a triangular cross section, and arranged on the circumference is arranged on a concentric circle on the armature plate 110 side so as to correspond to the respective projecting parts 130a.
