PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide mechanism to make an interval between one surface of a medium and a sensor a specified interval. SOLUTION: The guide mechanism 55 to hold the other surface of the medium 51 so as to make the interval between the one surface of the medium 51 and the sensor 53 the specified interval is constituted of a guide main body 57 free to make contact with the other surface of the medium 51, a first energizing means 59 to energize the guide main body 57 in a direction of the sensor 53 and one or two of second energizing means 61 with which the guide main body 57 makes contact when the guide main body 57 is separated by a specified distance from the sensor 53 and to energize the guide main body 57 in the direction of the sensor 53.
