<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of an IC card which causes a serious problem when it is lost. <P>SOLUTION: A device is controlled by the authentication system, and the electronic watch equipped with an authentication function is used for the authentication system. A carrying detection means which detects whether an individual continues to carry the electronic watch or does not continue to carry the electronic watch is installed so as to inhibit the device from being used when the means detects that the electronic watch is not carried. By the authentication system using the electronic watch equipped with the authentication function, a high-reliability control system for the device is obtained. When a timer means is installed so as to detect that the electronic watch is not carried, the timer means is operated, and the timer means inhibits the device from being used after it has been timed up. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
