<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant resin composition not only exhibiting excellent flame retardancy without using a halogen as an adhesive or a structural plastic, especially a machine part, an electric or electronic part or an automotive part, but also having excellent mechanical properties and thermal stability. <P>SOLUTION: This flame-retardant resin composition comprises (A) a polyester and (B) a compound having ≥3 wt.% total content of phosphorus or nitrogen. The ratio of the compounded components (A) to (B) expressed in terms of solid weight ratio is (100/1)-(100/100). The polyester (A) is copolymerized with at least one kind of the component represented by formula (I) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are same or different and each -X-CO- or -Y-O-; X and Y are same or different, and each a divalent linking group). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
