PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge for processing photosensitive materials which prevents a processing solution from spilling and scattering in a place for processing the photosensitive materials or the peripheries thereof in exchanging the processing solution or the like and can prolong the life of the processing solution, and to obtain an apparatus for processing the photosensitive materials. SOLUTION: The cartridge 18 for processing is formed by sealing a conveyance roller pair therein and sealing the processing solution for water washing (washing water) therein and performs processing of photographic paper within itself. When the processing of the photographic paper is not carried out, a slit hole of a blade through which the photographic paper moves in and out is held closed and the cartridge is internally hermetically sealed. Since an ion exchange resin 532 is disposed in a cartridge body 22 and removes the unnecessary ions in the washing water, the washing performance can be maintained for a long period.
