PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction of equipment due to a mistake of discrimination information setting, by automatically setting discrimination information at a low cost even when a plurality of printing medium installing devices are present.

SOLUTION: This printing medium loading device comprises: a controller having a test terminal for outputting a test signal having a signal level of high level or low level, and a reception terminal receiving a first input signal, and setting own discrimination information based on a level of the first signal; and an inverting circuit generating an output signal outputted to outside based on a state of a second input signal inputted from the outside and the state of a test signal, thereby providing the output signal to a reception terminal of another device.
