PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous material containing a functional powder, adhered with the functional powder on fibers, keeping air permeability of the fibrous material and sufficiently realizing functions of the functional powder. SOLUTION: The functional powder is firmly adhered on each fiber by an adhesive, many micropores are formed on the adhesive covering the outer surface, the functional powder keeps to easily contact with externals even if the fibrous material is washed or relaxed and so functions of the functional powder are kept. The functional powder-adhered fibrous material is produced by suspending the functional powder in an aqueous adhesive solution, spraying the obtained on a substrate flocculent fibrous material to adhere fine and misty water droplets thereon and, in or after spraying, promptly and quickly drying undried fine water droplets by a high-temperature hot air. The obtained is hot-pressed into a densified fibrous material having 0.1-30 mm thickness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
