PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which prevents peeling of melt-sprayed coating on an inner surface of a bore of a cylinder block. SOLUTION: A melt-spraying device 10 is provided with a melt-spraying gun 14 inserted in a bore 12 from one side of an opening of the bore 12 which penetrates a cylinder block 11, and a magnetic field generator 24 which generates in the inside of the bore 12 a magnetic field which gives an attracting action to unmolten particles toward the other side of the opening of the bore 12. When metal such as iron used for a melt-spraying particle 15 reaches a high temperature enough to melt, it has a property not to be attracted to a magnetic field. When a magnetic field which is sucked toward the opening of the bore 12 is generated and melt-sprayed in the inside of the bore 12, while the molten melt-spraying particles 15 are sprayed on the inner surface of the bore 12 affected by no influence of the magnetic field, unmolten melt-spraying particles 37 will be sucked to the opening side of the bore 12 and will not reach an inner surface of the bore 12 affected by the influence of the magnetic field. For this reason, the good melt-sprayed coating 17 is formed which is made of only spray particles 15, or of spray particles with a low mixing ratio of the unmolten particles 37 on the inner surface of the bore 12.
