PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke interception door device for an elevator to prevent penetration of smoke. SOLUTION: Panels are movably set in a threshold door of the elevator to close gaps, and the gaps between the threshold door and the threshold frame and the still are closed only when the smoke is generated. Accordingly, as the friction is not generated in a normal situation when a passenger uses the elevator, the door can be opened/closed very smoothly. Moreover, if an abnormality occurs, the gaps are closed simultaneously, so that penetration of the smoke can be prevented quite speedily. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
