<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording element with luster providing good surface luster, fast drying time and excellent, image fastness when printed with a dye type ink and to provide a printing method using the inkjet recording element. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording element comprises a support carrying thereon in order described (I) a base layer comprising at least 50 mass% of inorganic particles and (II) an image-receiving layer comprising (a) colloidal inorganic oxide particles having a mean particle diameter of 10-500 nm and (b) water-insoluble cationic polymeric particles having a benzyldimethyl ammonium moiety. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
