PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce manufacturing and maintenance costs by reducing the weight of a sill structure for supporting a deck on a chassis frame in a motortruck or the like. SOLUTION: A main sill 12 mounted on a side rail of a chassis frame is made of a rectangle-sectioned hollow tubular member of steel, and a cross sill 14 is made of wood. One flange 28a of an L-sectioned sill joining bracket 28 of steel is fixed by welding to one side of the main sill 12. The other flange 28b extended up from the main sill 12 has an oblong bolt hole 36 with a vertical major axis, and the cross sill 14 has a normal-circle-sectioned bolt hole 38. A clamping bolt 30 extended in a vehicle longitude direction is passed through the bolt holes 36 and 38 to clamp the cross sill 14 and the main sill 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
