Sulphamic acid fluorides are prepared by reacting R<SP>1</SP>-N(R<SP>2</SP>)-SO 2 Cl, where R<SP>1</SP> is an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical optionally substituted by halogen, phenyl, nitrile or carboxylic ester and R<SP>3</SP> is H or as R<SP>1</SP>, or R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> and the nitrogen atom form a five- or sixmembered ring, with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride at 0-160‹ C.
