<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR gas cooling device which reduces the thermal load of a radiator, is free from fatigue failure by internal thermal stress, and efficiently cools with a comparatively simple means, by making the device air cooling type without using cooling water. <P>SOLUTION: An internal heat exchanger and an external heat exchanger for cooling EGR gas are provided inside and outside of the body of an EGR gas cooler having a high temperature EGR gas inlet port and a low-temperature EGR gas outflow port. The internal heat exchanger and the external heat exchanger have at least a set of heat exchangers which are piped so that a heating-medium fluid can be circulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
