PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a deformable element that is simple in structure and easy to integrate into a body structure for intentional energy absorption, by improving a type of deformable element having deformable hollow beams superposed in an automobile height direction, and extending, for example, between a front region and a passenger compartment of shape stability, in an automotive body structure having deformable elements of, for example, metal extending in a spaced relation to a center plane in the automobile length direction. SOLUTION: The deformable elements 7 and 8 each have a first lower deformable hollow beam 9, a second center deformable beam 10 and a third upper deformable beam 11. The deformable hollow beams 9 to 11 are connected at substantially short webs 12 and 13.
