PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam generation apparatus with a simplified structure. SOLUTION: The foam generation apparatus comprises a tank 25 for storing a liquid, a liquid flow route 3 for discharging a liquid 27 to the tank 25, a liquid sending means 11 for a liquid installed in the liquid flow route 3, a gas flow route 19 communicating with the liquid flow route 3 for supplying a gas to the liquid 27, a valve 21 installed in the gas flow route 19 for controlling the circulation of the gas in the gas flow route 18, a pressure detection means 15 for detecting the pressure of the flow of the liquid 27 in a portion in the downstream side of the liquid sending means 11 in the liquid flow route 3, and a discharge part 7 installed in the end part of the outlet side of the liquid flow route 3 for generating foams in the liquid 27. The valve 21 is opened when the pressure detected by the pressure detection means 15 becomes equal to the first set pressure and closed when the pressure detected by the pressure detection means 15 becomes equal to the second set pressure lower than the first set pressure. Consequently, a compressor and a compressed gas bomb for supplying a gas at a prescribed pressure are made no need and thus the structure can be simplified. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
