PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric razor allowing the shaving portion of its blade head part to smoothly follow a user's skin because of the enlarged rocking angle of the blade head part, and capable of easily discharging the whisker and skin debris and other fragment matter between a grip part and the blade head part even in cases where the blade head part is provided with freedom to rock relatively to the grip part. SOLUTION: This electric razor comprises a blade head part for cutting hair and a grip part which is coupled to the underside of the blade head part. The blade head part is equipped with an outer blade 8, an inner blade 5 and a motor 4. A number of openings into which hairs are introduced are formed in the outer blade 8. The inner blade 5 is in a slide contact with the inside of the outer blade 8. The motor 4 drives the inner blade 5 back and forth and to the right and left. The blade head part is coupled to the grip part free to rock so as to rock to the right and left at the center part in the right-and-left width direction for the blade head part and the grip part. A hollow space S is formed on both sides, on the right and left of the coupling site between the blade head part and the grip part.
