PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for delivering a plurality of individual surgical fasteners. SOLUTION: This method has a step of preparing a surgical fastener delivery device 259 having a drive mechanism provided with the distal end and the proximal end. The drive mechanism has a movable member 260 and an opposed fixed member 270. The movable member is movable onto the proximal side and distal side with respect to the delivery device, and the fixed member is fixed to the delivery device. The delivery device has a plurality of surgical fasteners 105 provided between the movable member and the fixed member. The method further has a step of piercing the tissue with the distal end part of one of the surgical fasteners by moving the movable member to the distal end, to arrange the distal end in the tissue. The method also has a step of developing and arranging the distal end of one of the surgical fasteners by moving the movable member to the proximal end. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
