PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod with which the position relation between fishing rod bodies each other in the circumferential direction is smoothly adjusted while adjusting the whole length of the fishing rod. SOLUTION: This fishing rod is equipped with a base fishing rod 1 having an engagement female part on the inner peripheral surface of the end part of the tip side and an upper base fishing rod 2 which is connected to the tip side of the base fishing rod in a shaking out manner and has a first engagement male part that can be engaged with the engagement female part and is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the end part of the fishing rod base side and a second engagement male part 2a formed on the outer peripheral surface of the tip side. The end edge of the tip side of the base fishing rod 1 has a part in the circumferential direction of the base fishing rod, which is recessed into the fishing rod base side. On the other hand, a ring 11 having a part in the circumferential direction, which is projected to the fishing rod base side so that the part is coincident with the end edge of the tip side of the base fishing rod 1 is attached to the peripheral surface adjacent to the tip side of the second engagement male part 2a of the upper base fishing rod 2.
