<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved catheter having a basket-shaped electrode assembly (an electrode alignment) allowing the basket-shaped electrode assembly to extend in various positions and having two or more position sensors for finding the positions of electrodes attached to the electrode assembly. <P>SOLUTION: This catheter is provided with a long catheter body 12 having a distal end part, a proximal end part, and, at least, a single lumen passing through the distal end part and the proximal end part, the basket-shaped electrode assembly 18 disposed in the distal end part of the catheter body, a distal position sensor 32 attached to the distal end or adjacent to the distal end part of the basket-shaped electrode assembly, and a proximal position sensor 34 attached to the proximal end part or adjacent to the proximal end part of the basket-shaped electrode assembly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
