PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a transplantation method using a conventional transplanter in which a material to be transplanted is rebounded from a planting hole and is not supplied to an adequate position of the planting hole when the material to be transplanted is dropped and fed and as a result, transplantation depth of the material to be transplanted is not stabilized to prevent favorable culture of crops. SOLUTION: In this transplantation method, a flexible film 103 is twisted at a boundary position between a residual part 103a of the film 103 after covering the material 102b to be transplanted with the film 103 and a part 103b covering the material 102b to be transplanted so that the residual part 103a of the film 103 is distinguished from the part 103b and the twisted material 102b to be transplanted is dropped and supplied into the planting hole of a field so that at least a part of the residual part 103a is located at an upper position than the field surface to transplant the material 102b to be transplanted.
