PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fractionating and measuring a conjugated bilirubin by which the conjugated bilirubin can be measured in good accuracy without reacting with unconjugated bilirubin in a specimen containing bilirubin. SOLUTION: This method for measuring the amount of the conjugated bilirubin in the specimen by reacting a bilirubin oxidase with the specimen containing bilirubin, and optically measuring the change of the bilirubin caused thereby is carried out in the presence of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of hydroquinones, 6-hydroxychromans, and 5-hydroxybenzo-2,3- dihydrofurans.
