PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally-actuated steam trap allowing its temperature controlling element to be taken out simply from the body and quickly exhausting a large quantity of low-temperature fluid at the time of starting. SOLUTION: A lid 5 is attached to the body 1 furnished with an inlet 2 and outlet 3, and in its inside a valve chest 4 is formed provided with an inlet 2 and outlet 3. The temperature controlling element 8 located over a valve seat member 7 is accommodated in the mounting member 17 formed in a bottom-equipped cylinder and furnished with a hole in the center of the bottom, and the peripheral undersurface of a lower wall member 16 of the element 8 is abutted to a step 19 of the mounting member 17 and fixed by a snap ring 22. The center hole of the mounting member 17 is made some greater than the outside diameter of the valve seat member 7. As a thermal responsive member with one end fixed to the lid 5 and the other end fixed to the element 8, a coil-form shape memory alloy 18 is installed, and with the elongating force of this coil-form shape memory alloy 18 at a high temperature, the bottom undersurface of the mounting member 17 is abutted to the bottom wall of the valve chest 4 and held.
