PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable supporting device which can be easily mounted on a gate by minimizing the number of members, without making an existing gate removed from a gatepost, in either of two cases in which an electric lock is mounted on a newly constructed gate and in which a manual lock of the existing gate is replaced with the electric lock. SOLUTION: This cable supporting bracket is composed of: paired wiring cover brackets which are fixed to lower ends of both stiles of the gate; and a wiring cover which has a length equal to a distance between both the wiring cover brackets and has a groove for housing a cable, and both ends of which are fixed by screws screwed into the wiring cover brackets from a horizontal direction, respectively. A hole or a notch, into which the cable is to be inserted in a crossed manner, is provided in the wiring cover bracket for mounted on the hanging-base-side stile. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
