PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document creation support device capable of efficiently creating a document along a document composition type desired by a user, while referring document examples stored in advance. SOLUTION: The document creation support device for supporting the creation of a document comprises a document composition type storing means 3 for storing the composition type of a document, a component presenting means 4 for presenting a component to be described in the document in accordance with the designated composition type of the document, a document example storing means 8 for storing the document examples corresponding to each document composition type stored in the document composition type storing means 3, a document example searching means 7 for searching and representing the document example of the designated composition type of document from the document example storing means 8, a content information input means 5 for inputting the content by each component represented by the component representing means 4, a content information storing means 6 for storing the information inputted to the content information input means 5, and a document producing means 9 for producing the document by performing the layout processing to the information stored in the content information storing means 6.
