PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus for a digital video signal capable of automatically inspecting a video system LSI without causing suppression of a man-hour cost and bent pins at a plugged-in socket arisen by manual inspection and without variations in acceptance/reject discrimination. SOLUTION: The inspection method of this invention captures and compresses digital video data outputted from a video signal system LSI so as to inspect the digital video data over several seconds and automatically selects electric defects.
