PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a burner having durability, short outer flame and a larger throttle range of combustion. SOLUTION: A doughnut disc burner combustor 2 is constructed by machining a metal filament product. The inner and outer peripheries of the burner combustor 2 are placed on a casing 5 and portions of the burner combustor 2 which abut on the casing are sealed by metals, and gas and primary air are supplied to the casing 5 for combustion with the burner combustor 2. Combustion secondary air is supplied from the doughnut disc inner periphery for lowering a temperature to give the least possible high temperature portions to the casing, achieving the burner which is durable, smaller, higher in TDR and highly efficient.
