PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an array type semiconductor laser apparatus that reduces influence due to thermal interference in a plurality of aligned semiconductor laser chips, and can secure thermal uniformity in each semiconductor laser chip. SOLUTION: In the semiconductor laser apparatus where a plurality of semiconductor laser chips having an active layer 23 for forming a luminous point 16 are aligned at an interval on a sub-mount 12, the interval of a semiconductor laser chip 21 at the inside is wider than an interval that the semiconductor laser chip 21 at both the end sections of the aligned semiconductor laser chip 21 forms with the adjacent semiconductor laser chip 21.
