<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently process a print command. <P>SOLUTION: A print server makes a printer execute print based on a print command which is valid at present. Then, when the kind of sheets mounted on a printer is exchanged (S500: YES), the kind of mounted sheets stored in the status folder of a print server is updated to the changed kind of sheets (S510), and whether or not the kind of sheets included in each print job remaining in a job folder is coincident with the updated kind of mounted sheets (S530), and when it is coincident, the print command which is valid at present is set (S540), and in the other case, a print command which is invalid at present is set (S550). Therefore, when the kind of sheets mounted on the printer is exchanged, the print command which is invalid at present until that time is changed to the print command which is valid at present, and print is executed based on the command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
