<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline battery improved in forming mix strength without reducing the electrolyte absorption quantity and having high reliability on quality of products. <P>SOLUTION: A positive electrode mix of the alkaline battery is obtained by adding the polyolefin group resin having 25-200 g/10 min of melt flow rate as a binder to nickel oxyhydroxide, graphite as a conductive agent and the alkaline electrolyte. With this mix, an intermediate load discharge characteristic is not hindered, and strength of the positive electrode forming mix is improved, and the alkaline battery having a high reliability can be provided without reducing the in-battery electrolyte absorption quantity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
