PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device capable of effectively utilizing the capacity of a battery by setting a proper final voltage depending on a processing mode of the electronic device. SOLUTION: The electronic device (camera 10) includes: a voltage measurement means (power supply 191) for measuring a voltage of the battery 191A of the camera 10; a recording means (nonvolatile memory 182) for recording a plurality of final voltages denoting an application limit of the battery 191A corresponding to each processing mode; a comparison means (information processing means 180) that reads the final voltage corresponding to the processing mode set at present from the recording means (nonvolatile memory 182) to compare the final voltage with a voltage of the battery 191A; and a setting means (the information processing means 180 and the power supply 191) that terminates the processing in the processing mode and sets a mode to a standby mode or a mode to interrupt the operating power supply when the result of comparison determines that the measured voltage of the battery 191A is lower than the final voltage corresponding to the processing mode set at present.
