PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing unit that prevents a decrease in the transmittance of light through an OHP sheet and dulling of colors even in the use of a releasing agent application roller which has a foam body on its surface, to provide an image forming apparatus which has the fixing device, and to provide the releasing agent application roller which has the foam body on its surface and is provided for them. SOLUTION: The releasing agent application roller 32 for applying a releasing agent to a sheet conveying member 2 which fixes a toner image while conveying a sheet-like medium has the foam body 66 at least on its surface.
