PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make small a wind pressure load placed on a cable and to increase a tension characteristic of the cable. SOLUTION: The optical fiber drop cable 1 has a long optical element part 7 and a long cable support wire part 11 fixed in parallel to each other, the optical element part 7 being constituted by covering an optical fiber core 5 and at least a couple of 1st tensile strength bodies 13 arranged across the optical fiber core 5 with a cable sheath 3 and the cable support wire part 11 being constituted by covering a 2nd tensile strength body 11 with a sheath 19. At least the couple of 1st tensile strength bodies 13 are arranged across the optical fiber core 5 in parallel on both sides in a direction crossing the coupling direction of the optical element part 7 and cable support wire part 11, so that the long-diameter side size of the cable can be made small and the wind pressure load can be suppressed to be low. Further, the short-diameter side size of the cable can be made large up to a size smaller than the long-diameter side size, so that the sectional area of the 1st tensile strength bodies 13 can be made large.
