<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a motor related to a failure in a clutch and the like. <P>SOLUTION: A front wheel is driven by an engine and a rear wheel is driven by a motor. When an engine controller for controlling the engine determines that the number of revolutions of the motor is in prescribed level or larger, torque-down control on engine torque is carried out according to a deviation factor between a target wheel speed and a current wheel speed.
