<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing black toner having excellent fixing characteristics at low temperature and at high temperature and showing developing characteristics with little fogging by more homogeneously enhancing the dispersion of carbon black in toner in the production of toner by a suspension polymerization method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the black toner has a stage for preparing a master patch by mixing at least a polymerized monomer and a colorant; a stage for preparing a monomer composition by diluting the master patch in mixture incorporating at least the polymerized monomer; a stage for preparing the particles of the monomer composition by dispersing the monomer composition in a water medium; and a stage for polymerizing the polymerized monomer in the particles of the obtained monomer composition. In the case of preparing the master patch, a gross value by a coating test using a bar coater for the master patch is adjusted to 25 to 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
