PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure and diagnose tastes of various kinds of solids and liquids in a nondestructive manner. SOLUTION: A measuring sensor 1 is arranged closely to an object 2 to be measured with a fixed pressure and ultrasonic tasting is done by measuring and diagnosing in the nondestructive manner with an ultrasonic wave. A CPU provided with a pulser/receiver part, A/D converter, and display is connected to the sensor 1. For example, recognition or comparison is done with the pattern recognition program of a computer in order to examine that a liquid material such as beer or milk is in a set quality limit or not.
