PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule which can facilitate the assembling operation in manufacture, easily prescribe the clearance between a positioning fixation and engagement part of a rotary positioning part, realize high-quenching-ratio propagation, and reduce connection loss and reflected return light, and to provide its manufacturing method and an optical connector plug. SOLUTION: The ferrule 10 equipped with a cylinder body 20 for the ferrule which holds an end part of an optical fiber, and a collar member 30 having a holding part 40 which is provided at the rear end part of the cylinder body 20 for the ferrule and holds a coated optical fiber having a clad around an optical fiber and a collar part 50 having the rotary positioning part 54 which is provided on the outer circumferential surface of the holding part 40 and in a polygonal or disklike shape projecting in a circumferential direction and prescribes the relative positions of the optical connector plug and holding member; and the collar part 50 is composed of divided members 51 and 52 which are divided in the circumferential direction.
