Linoleoyl ceramides (I) are new. Ceramides of formula (I) are new. n = 22-35; m = 11-21; RCO = linoleoyl. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a composition comprising at least one compound (I) in a physiologically acceptable medium; and (2) cosmetic treatment comprising applying the composition of (1) to the skin, hair, nails or eyelashes.
