PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem with a rearward exhaust type grill with a hot plate type heating means that a burning distribution in which portions of cooked object must be uniformly heated becomes worse since exhaust gases such as smoke from the cooked object and hot air in a grill chamber flow to an exhaust tube normally through the underside of the heating plate and a clearance between the heating plate and an exhaust cover, the exhaust gases may interfere with the flame of a gas burner at the rear of the grill chamber, and the hot air is concentrated to the rear side of the grill chamber. SOLUTION: The opening areas per unit area of through holes 34a, 34b, and 34c in the heating plate 3 are gradually increased from the forward to the backward of the grill chamber.
